I took a long bus ride from Nicaragua to Tegucigalpa, the capital of Honduras. I didn't stay long, but did have a couple of hours in the afternoon to sort out some chores. On a short jaunt through the city I had a look at an interesting little church called 'Inglesia Los Dolores' - church of the sorrows. Inside there is a huge heart at the alterpiece, pierced by seven swords. It is the oldest church in Honduras, and apparently some of the symbolism is influenced by Mayan traditions, the prominence of the sun for instance.
