This blog is about my travels. At home in New Zealand, in other parts of Oceania, North, Central and South America and in Europe.
 The pampered town Alpaca. After my flight in to Lima, I spent a few days adjusting to the heat (27C , 81F). I then took an overnight bus to the mountain town of Huarez, where I am now. Huarez sits at the base of the mountains of the Cordillera Blanca. It is very cool to see people wearing indigenous clothes, to get to know this interesting little town, and to plan my upcoming hikes and climbs.  Town square in Huarez
